Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services (GHNPSS) thanks the Aging & Adult Services of Montgomery County for their generous support.

Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services (GHNPSS) operates both Encore Experiences in Harleysville and The PEAK Center in Lansdale.  The mission of Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services is to provide access to programs and resources that help older adults live independently and remain active. Both centers offer a place of comfort, fellowship, and care to the seniors in our community.

The Paul Nye Legacy Society

Greater Harleysville and North Penn Seniors Services (GHNPSS) is proud to be approaching its 50 year anniversary in 2025. Our legacy of serving older adults in Montgomery County began as two separate Senior Adult Activity Centers, Encore Experiences in Harleysville and The PEAK Center in Lansdale. Since joining forces as GHNPSS in 2013, the organization maintains its mission to provide access to programs and services that help older adults live independently and remain active.

GHNPSS offers meals, lifelong learning opportunities, wellness programs, counseling and referral services, assistance in applying for government benefits, socialization opportunities and various volunteer options. Participants have a diverse calendar of events to choose from where they can nourish friendships while exercising, playing games like bridge and pinochle, attending special events or enjoying lunch together.

As we approach our 50th anniversary, GHNPSS has its eye firmly locked on the future sustainability of our organization. Through our most recent Strategic Plan, our team is working to expand our programming and our audience to best reflect the community we serve. This includes addressing age, gender and racial diversity in our programming and marketing. We are exploring how we can be attractive to younger seniors who are newly retired and may have different needs than our currently active population. In addition, we recognize that the cultural and ethnic diversity of our region is constantly changing. We are working to be inclusive in all we do with respect to the many needs of older adults in Montgomery County. All of this work requires a diverse set of resources to ensure the fiscal sustainability of GHNPSS. Our donors are integral to that sustainability, and we are grateful for your partnership as we approach our 50-year celebration of providing a home away from home for older adults.

With all this in mind, we invite you to consider becoming a member of The Paul Nye Legacy Society.

PaulNye.jpgThe Paul Nye Legacy Society recognizes the impact of former GHNPSS Executive Director, Paul Nye, who dedicated himself to growing our reach in the community and ensuring our fiscal health. For over 50 years, Paul has dedicated his career to improving the lives of individuals and communities. He has been drawn to work with underserved populations such as seniors, at-risk youth, and families, and those with disabilities. With a laser focus on serving people, he crafted a personalized approach to fundraising and administration. He always includes the “who” when cultivating donors and partners. Countless friends of GHNPSS fondly recall breakfasts with Paul and his passionate fundraising that always included stories of lives impacted by donations made to our Centers. Paul inspired our community, and we are proud to recognize him, along with his wife Anna Marie Lombardi, as the inaugural member of The Paul Nye Legacy Society for his dedication to GHNPSS and our senior community.
