We're Reopening!
Mark your calendars for June 28… We are reopening!
We are excited to welcome everyone back to our two Senior Activity Centers, Encore Experiences and The PEAK Center, on Monday, June 28 for in-person activities and services. While our virtual programs have been a huge success, there is nothing that can take the place of being together. As your new Executive Director, I am very excited to personally welcome everyone back and meet you!
This reopening will include two programs every day with one being held in the morning and one in the afternoon at each of our locations. We hope to increase our programs as things move forward throughout the summer, assuming we can do so in a safe manner. We encourage you to view a copy of our program calendar on our website or pick up a copy at either of our two centers. Some of our virtual programs will remain even with our reopening for in-person activities.
“Grab and Go” lunches will continue at Encore Experiences throughout the summer as we hope for a return to our congregate meals at some point in early fall. We will continue to utilize a pre-registration system for this. Grab and Go lunches are served Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 12:15pm.
As we open, it is important for us to point out our safety protocols which include:
- Strongly encouraging and recommending all participants, staff, and volunteers to wear face coverings regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings will not be required.
- Strongly encourage social distancing.
- Remind everyone to stay home if they are ill or have a temperature.
- Encouraging the use of sanitizing supplies that will be available throughout the center.
It is important to note that vaccination status will not be asked when you return to our center. We ask for your help in maintaining a respective and inclusive environment as we open our doors.
